A type of openwork curtain woven as a grid. During my internship at Klässbols Linneväveri in Värmland, I learned that this structure has a particular local connection to Värmland. Around the turn of the century, textile artist Ida Sahlström became well known for designing curtains in this technique, also known as "Fryksdalsrutan".

In these samples I've split the curtain into two layers. Thanks to the floats, the layers can be pushed apart and form different types of patterns.
